In a time where we are spending more and more time on the computers, we need to make sure we Stay Safe on the Internet. Here are some great ideas here to help your children learn about staying safe on the Internet.
Why not give this one a shot? And remember to use all of the tools we have taught you so far!
The year 5 team have prepared a number of resources for you to support your child with their home learning during this difficult and unprecedented time. Within the pages to the left, you will find general resources, supporting materials and activities to enrich your child's understanding of the key areas of the curriculum.
We encourage you to support your child's learning as much as possible during this time, however, we are very aware that this will depend on home circumstances and understand that there will be varying degrees of work completed. We will continue to update these pages with new resources, activities and guidance to support you as best we can whilst the children are at home.
As well as these prepared resources there are many other ways in which you can support the development and progress of your child, such as;
- Enabling children to read a variety of texts everyday where possible
- Developing mental strategies in Maths through real life contexts, while also continuing to increase fluency in timetable knowledge.
- Promoting creative and active learning through non screen activities in order to develop motor and craft skills
- Through mindfulness activities and conversion to support children's mental wellbeing and emotional management.
We want to again thank you for your continued support so far this year and wish you and your families well.
