Jazzing Up Junk! - CLEAPSS Primary Competition 2019 Winner

The challenge was to create a new use for junk, using innovation and design skills. Last year, children in year 4 and 5 were asked to submit a poster and a video demonstrating their product in action and describing how it works. A huge congratulations to Elisa Mineo (Picasso), who was the overall winner of the whole competition. She cleverly made a flip flop from plastic bags. Elisa thought about sustainability issues like plastic in landfill, and used this as her inspiration. She has proposed her flip flop as the way forward to not only challenge sustainability but as a business plan idea for struggling economies. Well done Elisa, what a notable achievement. We are so proud of you!
