We went outside to identify a variety of materials in our school grounds and discussed their properties. 

We then discussed why certain materials were used for different purposes. 

"Brick is used for the walls of our school because it is hard" Leejarn -  Butterfly class

"I can't believe there are so many of these everyday materials in our playground!" Esin - Ladybird class

"Learning about materials is so fun!" Ivelin - Dragonfly class

"Plastic is used for lots of different things." Josie - Grasshopper class
