Owl babies

In Reception we have been very busy! The children have started learning their phonics sounds, exploring measuring things, counting and recognising numbers and retelling the story ‘Owl Babies.’ We are following the class rules, looking after the class resources and being kind to each other.

Tulip class have been cutting out five little speckled frogs to turn into stick puppets so they can act out the nursery rhyme!

Look at this impressive speckled frog!

Here the children are learning the actions for 'Talk for Writing'. They have learnt 'The', 'Who' and 'The End' and are using the actions successfully in their retelling of the story of the 'Owl Babies'.

We also have some fantastic props that the children have enjoyed using to retell the story and bring it to life in Daffodil class.
